Going to Canada!

Canadian Flag

On the 2nd June 2005 I am flying out to Toronto in Canada on a three month student work visa. Basically I am using the three months between the end of one year of my studies and the start of my next year of studies to do this. Basically instead of staying at home working on a summer job in Manchester I will be working in Toronto instead. I also plan do to some traveling around the local region, probably towards the end of my stay.

This is quite an undertaking for me as I have never been so far (physically) from family and friends for such an extended time before now. I am quite sure that I will be able to rise to the challenge and have a worthwhile summer this year.

This website will act as my journal during my time in Canada, and I will update once or so a week on my going on’s.

Election 2005 - Liberal Democrats

Well as a Liberal Democrat member I am happy to see how well the party has done in the British 2005 General Election. Congratulations to John Pugh on his victory in Southport, my home town, keeping the seat for the Liberal Democrats. For the first time I actually stayed up and awake for the entire election coverage from ITN on ITV. Shame about the lack of Interactive services: There was a great service from ITV on the ONdigital digital terrestrial service in 2001 but nothing on the SKY digital satellite service this time round.

Going to Canada!

Just announcing that I will be on an extended visit to Canada this summer on a student work visa. Not quite sure of the details yet but I am sure that my set up on this website is going to reap rewards for me while I am over there (Basically I can update the website remotely).

More details soon!
