This page is about my two dogs, Megan and Holly.

When I first met the dogs I was 11 years old. I picked up Holly and she promptly decided to wee on the pool table beneath her! When we got the dogs home we decided that it would be a good idea to let them sleep in the utility room. As our utility room was adjacent to our Kitchen, it was decided that they would have to stay in the utility room when we were eating or when food was being prepared. So we installed a child safety gate between the two rooms, to stop them entering the room but to allow them and us to see them. As soon as we installed the gate and stood back, they both preceded to squeeze through the gaps in the gate! We couldn’t help but laugh.

In 2004 I left home to return to university. I deeply missed the dogs and I think I missed them more than family and friends, probably as Megan and Holly can’t use a telephone. Every time I return from university they would go absolutely mad. They both get over excited and start running and leaping around, skidding everywhere.

Holly likes to stretch on people, digging in her nails as she does so. She also likes to lie down between peoples legs, be tickled on her back and lean against warm radiators.

Megan likes to have 24/7 attention. If you ignore you she will persist until you either give in and give her some attention, or tell her off. Ways to get attention include crying, barking, scratching, pushing her nose under your arm and sneezing eleven times in a row, which she does on request for me.

Update: Unfortunately Megan passed away suddenly in the early hours of Monday, 14th April 2008.
